National Financial Literacy Month 2026
April is National Financial Literacy Month, the time each year when credit unions teach and encourage strong financial habits.
If you’ve been wondering how to empower your kids to save for their future, Financial Literacy Month is a great opportunity to start!

To celebrate, we’re holding a coloring contest where kids (12 & under) can enter to win a $50 Visa gift card!
How to Participate:
- Pick up a coloring page at any Midwest Community Federal Credit Union branch or download it using the links below.
- Get creative!
- Turn in your finished coloring page to any branch by Thursday, April 30th, 2026 to receive a free piggy bank (while supplies last).
- You’re entered to win! At the end of the month, we will randomly select one winner from all entries to receive a $50 Visa gift card!
Winner Announcement:
- The gift card winner will be drawn and announced on Friday, May 1st.
- We’ll contact the winner’s parent/guardian directly and announce them on our social media!
Financial Literacy Month is a great time to engage kids and help them learn that saving, no matter how small the amount, can help set them up for future success! Join us!
